Today’s challenge is to list my favorite line.

I wonder if this is the favorite line from one of my works or from someone else’s works… so, to cover my bases, I’m going to do both.

So far, this is my favorite line from my current work in progress:

Tallulah edged around the hulking mound of teenage boy flesh that had plopped himself in front of her while she waited. She pushed her way up to the counter, elbowing her way around two other students that were just standing around. She didn’t recognize them, but by the piercing gaze they threw her way, she expected they knew her.

My favorite quote from any book is this one from Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach.

“Sully, for shame!” Jonathan said in reproach, ” and don’t be foolish! What are we trying to practice everyday? If our friendship depends on things like space and time, we’ve destroyed our own brotherhood! But overcome space, and all we have left is Here. Overcome time, and all we have left is Now. And in the middle of Here and Now, don’t you think that we might see each other once or twice?”
